As 2023 draws to a close, many of us turn to a moment of reflection. News in the past year has been dominated by two savage conflicts, we’re still facing the consequences of that mini-budget, inflation remains high and the economy dances on the brink of recession.
Covid seems to have gone away; Wilco has gone away; strikes have not gone away. The planet continues to warm; WhatsApp continues to cause a storm; and Boris continues to lie about lying – allegedly – even once sworn. We have a new King; we have a new Beatles song; and X, formerly know as, and how everyone still refers to it as, “Twitter”, has a new name.
But don’t worry, amidst all this turmoil and anguish, I’m still raking up leaves when they fall. Happy 2024 to you all.
